Question:
I have noticed a problem when trying to book a class online for a home user when the real class is full using the Spivi app.
We use Mindbody for our class bookings and Spivi integrates with it. Our studio has a maximum capacity of 11 bikes.
If you have a look, you will notice that there is a class at 9:00am on Tuesday morning. The class is currently full. If a home user tries to use the Spivi app to book a Virtual seat, that booking will not be possible and a message comes up showing that the class is full.
Do you have a solution for this problem for home users that would like to book a virtual seat using the Spivi app when a class is full?
Answer:
You should set the maximum capacity on Mindbody from 11 bikes to 41 bikes. (+30 virtual spots).
If your members reserve their classes using a Spivi platform (web widgets, mobile app), then there will be no issues.
If your members book using Mindbody’s platform, and all of your physical bikes have already been reserved, then virtual spots will start being allocated..
(Instead of being added to the wait list).
Your members should verify their spot number via the confirmation email they receive, to ensure they have reserved a physical bike as opposed to a virtual one.
(Virtual spots will have a spot number that is greater than 10,000).
We suggest that you notify your members to use the Spivi platform when reserving their classes, and to double check their confirmation emails to ensure they have a bike reserved.
