Max Heart Rate (MHR) is the maximum rate which the heart can beat per minute. During this test, members should aim for their highest possible heart rate. To learn more about MHR click here.
To run a MHR test during a class follow these steps:
Step 1: Press on the Start button on the controller to display the in-game menu, and select the challenges icon.
Step 2: Use the Directional Pad to select Fitness Tests > MHR Test. Confirm each option with the Start button.
Step 3: Select the desired MHR test and press the Start button to run it.
Spivi offers multiple versions of MHR tests: 1-minute test, 2 minutes test, and 3 minutes test. The 1-minute test is suitable for beginner’s class and 2,3 minutes are suitable for more fit trainees.
Note: At any given time you can end a test by clicking the back button.
During the test the following attributes are displayed on the results leaderboard:
- User Information: Profile Picture and Display Name
- Current computed MHR value.
- Average BPM since the beginning of the test.
- Instantaneous BPM
The remaining time for the test will be displayed on the top right corner next to the total class time.
Step 4: Press the Start button twice to show or hide the live results during the test.
Step 5: During the test, the system computes the heart rate output in BPM units. This value will be used at the end of the test to determine the MHR of each member.
Step 6: When the test is finished, MHR results will be applied immediately to each member. The %MHR displayed on the Max HR View will be updated and computed based on the member’s new MHR value.
When class ends, the system will upload the results to the cloud and the MHR value of each member will be updated on his Spivi profile accordingly. The updated MHR value of each member will be used until another MHR test will be performed or a member will manually edit it.
