To install the cadence sensor to the Schwinn IC Pro® bike we will have to attach the cadence sensor to the left pedal of the bike and then attach the provided magnet to the frame. The gap between the left pedal and the bike’s frame has enough space to hold the sensor firmly and securely. Attaching the sensor this way allows us to change the battery easily when needed.
- Take the cadence sensor and insert the supplied zip ties into the two holes on the rubber part of the sensor.
- Attach the sensor to the inner side of the left pedal using the zip ties. The logo on the sensor should face up when the pedal is facing back. The sensor should be placed in the center of the pedal, make sure there is enough space to move the pedal smoothly.
- Attach the small magnet, position it in the corner of the top tube and the diagonal seat tube.
Check that you placed everything correctly, move the pedal both ways, the green light on the sensor should blink for a glance every time the sensor senses the magnet. If the green LED does not blink, press on the small button see the green light and repeat the test.
Make sure the sensor is tied strong enough, if not, add a small amount of contact glue where the zip ties touch the pedal, trim the edges of the zip ties.
We also recommend adding a small amount of contact glue between the bike’s frame and the magnet.
