INSTALLATION MANUAL – SPIVI® Arena
Congratulations on choosing Spivi® Arena!
This guide will walk you through the assembly steps of your system and prepare your facility for the ultimate experience.

Section 1 - Unpacking your Spivi® Arena
Upon removing your system from the packaging please ensure the following items are included:
Section 2 - Prerequisites to Set-up

AV System: Have your system powered on and ready:
- A longer HDMI extender may be needed to connect the Spivi System to your displays.
- If your instructors have their own personal display, also have handy an HDMI splitter.
- Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect the Spivi System to your audio system.

Internet: Double check that your internet is in working order:
- If using a wall mount, please be sure the port is active.
- If using a server, contact your IT department to verify security settings on the server.
- QR Code Scanning App: Have it downloaded on your smartphone for the activation process.

Additional tools that may be helpful:
- Zip ties to organize your cables.
- It is advisable to connect the computer to a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply).
Section 3 - System Assembly
- Unpack the Spivi Console, ANT+ USB Antenna, the XBOX controller, and the XBOX receiver.
- Connect the Spivi Console to your display using an HDMI cable. Use an HDMI extender if needed.
- Connect the Spivi Console to the internet using the CAT5 network cable.
- Connect the ANT+ USB Antenna using the supplied USB extender cable into one of the USB ports of the Spivi Console. Use the provided double sided adhesive pad to stick the ANT+ USB Antenna to one of the top corners of your TV. The antenna should have a clear line of sight with the room and stick out on the top side.
- Do not connect the ANT+ USB Stick to the Spivi Console. Keep the ANT+ USB Stick for later use with the Spivi Sensor Pairing application. This application will work with any Windows/Mac computer, and will allow your front desk staff to help members to identify their heart-rate straps' ANT+ device ID.
- Connect the XBOX Controller Wireless Receiver to a USB port on the back of the Spivi Console. Use the USB (short) Extender to reposition the XBOX Controller Wireless Receiver to be closer to the XBOX Controller if necessary.
- Unpack the AA batteries and install them into the XBOX controller.
- (Optional) Connect the BLE USB dongle into one of the back USB ports of the Spivi Console.
- Connect the Spivi Console to a power outlet using the power cord. Power the Spivi Console on by pressing the power button.
Section 4 - System Activation
In the case of a rental/leased system, your system should have already been pre-activated. Skip to Section 5.
After powering on your system, please follow the steps below for a one time activation for your Spivi system:
- Locate the serial number on a barcode sticker at the back of your Spivi system.
- Use your smartphone camera to scan the QR Code on the top left side of your screen.
iPhone/Android Users: use your phone camera to scan the QR code then follow the link to the Spivi
setup wizard.
Other Users: download a QR Code scanner app, then scan and follow the link to the Spivi setup wizard.
Follow the wizard instructions on your phone to activate the new system.
Section 5 - Heart Rate Monitor Pairing
The system should automatically launch the maintenance mode for the system after activation.
If you plan to pair Heart Rate monitors using the Maintenance Mode, then skip to the Heart Rate Monitor Pairing (Maintenance Mode) - Optional section.
Otherwise, press the Start button on the Xbox controller, then select the Save & Exit option.
Prerequisites
- The static fitness data receiver (ANT+ Antenna) is connected properly to the system according to the installation guide.
- All of the fitness equipment devices (heart rate monitors) are have batteries installed, and are working properly.
- The training room has been set up for optimal fitness equipment signal quality.
- Look for the receiver status on the bottom area of the screen and make sure that your receivers are listed and functioning properly.
Heart Rate Monitor Pairing (Spivi Account pairing)
If your members plan to use their own Heart Rate monitors, then you'll want to pair each HR monitor to your members' Spivi accounts.
Once a HR monitor has been paired with the member's Spivi account, then the system will automatically detect their HR data whenever they are logged into a workout. The pairing process only needs to be completed once per user.
- Download and install the Spivi Sensor Pairing app onto your front desk computer.
- Connect the ANT+ USB stick to the front desk computer.
- Launch the Spivi Sensor Pairing app.
- Instruct the client to stand next to your front desk computer, turn ON their Heart Rate monitor and wear it. (You should only pair one HR monitor with Spivi at a time)
- Click Next on the Spivi Sensor Pairing app to scan for nearby active HR monitors.
- Click on the HR monitor from the list of devices, then click Next.
- Pair the selected HR monitor using ONE of the options below:

Option A: Using the generated token:
- Select the Token Auth option from the Spivi Pairing app.
- Login to www.spivi.com with an administrator's account.
- Navigate to the My Studio > Manage Club Members page.
- Find the relevant member, then click the Account button.
- Click the Pair button next to the HR Sensor ID field.
- Copy the token to the clipboard.
- Paste the token into the Spivi Sensor Pairing app.
- Click Next to complete the pairing process.

Option B: Using the member's email and password:
- Select the Email Auth option from the Spivi Sensor Pairing app.
- Let the member type the email and password of their Spivi account.
- Click Next to complete the pairing process.

Option C: Manually enter the HR Sensor ID into the members' Spivi profile:
- Take note of the unique identifier number of the selected HR monitor from the Spivi Sensor Pairing app.
- Navigate to the My Studio > Manage Club Members page.
- Find the relevant member, then click the Account button.
- Type the unique identifier number into the HR Sensor ID field.
- Click Save to complete the pairing process.

Option A: Using the generated token:
Heart Rate Monitor Pairing (Maintenance Mode) - Optional
If you plan to use the same exact Heart Rate monitors for each and every workout, then you may want to pair the Heart Rate monitors to your system by using the Maintenance Mode option.
- Use the Xbox controller and navigate to the System Settings menu.
- Select the Maintenance Mode option.
- Use the directional pad on the Xbox controller to highlight the spot you wish to pair, then press the start button.
- Activate the desired fitness equipment device you’d like to pair.
- Heart Rate Monitors: Turn on the strap and wear it as usual.
- Highlight the Pair option using the Xbox controller, then press the start button to confirm.
- The system will try to automatically detect a single active fitness equipment device and pair it with the selected training spot.
- In case the system detects multiple fitness equipment devices, it will display a list of all available devices, and let you manually select the device that you’d like to pair, by using the directional pad.
- Repeat the above steps for each training spot you’d like to pair.
- Save & Exit.
For each paired training spot, the system will display the number of paired devices, signal quality indicator and real-time fitness data (heart rate, power, cadence, etc.).
Heart Rate Monitor Pairing (Apple/Android smartwatches)
If your member owns a compatible smartwatch, they can use their smartwatch as a Heart Rate monitor during their workouts.
Please note that an active Internet connection is required in order to stream your Heart Rate data from your Apple/Android watch to the Spivi system.
- Download the Spivi.Connect app onto your smartwatch.
- Launch the Spivi.Connect app, and give it permission to update your Health data.
- Navigate to the Pairing screen on the Spivi.Connect app.
- Scan the QR code from the Spivi.Connect app using your smartphone, then follow the on-screen instructions. You can also manually enter the Heart Rate ID that is displayed on the Spivi.Connect app directly into your Spivi account profile. (HR Sensor ID)
- At the start of every workout, select the Indoor Cycling option on your watch if you are participating in a workout that uses the Spivi Studio, Spivi Metrix, or Spivi 365 systems. Otherwise, select the High Intensity Interval Training option if you are participating in a workout that uses the Spivi Arena system. This will broadcast your Heart Rate data to Spivi.
- At the end of every workout, navigate to the left-most screen on the Spivi.Connect app, and press the Stop button to finish the workout. Your Heart Rate data will stop broadcasting.
Section 6 - Notices
6.1 Radio Frequency (RF) Interference
Radio frequency (RF) interference with other devices may cause intermittent loss of information. Wireless Internet access points, microwaves, cordless phones, or other wireless devices may cause frequency interference. To mitigate the chance of interference, set wireless access points to the lowest channel possible and keep the Spivi WIFI Bridge away from interfering devices. To change the channel on the access point, please consult manufacturer’s documentation.
Spivi utilizes ANT+ and BLE technologies to ensure a robust and reliable connection between the various sensors used and our product. Sensors are defined as power meter sensors, heart rate strap sensors, cadence sensors, speed sensors, and controlled resistance sensors.
Statement of Compliance for FCC and Industry Canada:
This device complies with Industry Canada and Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
The term “IC” before the radio certification number only signifies that Industry Canada technical specifications were met.
Changes or modifications to this device not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance with FCC regulations (the manufacturer) could void the user authority to operate the equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
6.2 Important Precautions
It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all users of this Spivi® System are adequately informed of all warnings and precautions. For questions regarding this guide, contact Customer Service at the number listed at the end of this guide.
Section 7 - Warranty
Manufacturer’s Warranty (under normal use)
Spivi Console (computer) - 12 months
XBOX Controller/Receiver - 3 months
In the event of a warranty issue, SpiviTech LTD will repair or replace the item at its discretion. SpiviTech LTD is not responsible for any indirect or consequential costs or damages associated with the warranty of the product.
WARNING: OUR PRODUCTS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY IS CASES OF:
- Water damage.
- Physical Damage or exhibiting signs of abuse.
- Improper maintenance or installation.
- Using the product with non-compatible components
- The computer case was opened.
- Operating system malfunctions due to:
- Power outage. It is advisable to connect the computer via a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) battery back device.
- Switching off computer without properly shutting it down.
- A 3rd party software was installed on the Spivi computer or using the product for purposes for which it was not designed
- This warranty is also void if the product has been modified from its original form, including changes in aesthetics, serial numbers or logos.
Warranty Procedures: If it appears that a Spivi® System is not working properly, please take the time to inspect and troubleshoot the system as best as possible. In many instances, solutions may be as simple as replacing a battery or reconnecting a cable. Often small parts can repaired at a computer shop, instead
of the longer and more expensive option of sending the unit back for repair. To warranty the Spivi® System, return the product, where purchased or contact SpiviTech LTD. at 1-800-900-9917

Vendor’s liability to Customer under any or all provisions of this Agreement shall be limited to the Fee actually paid by Customer to Vendor. Vendor’s limitation of liability is cumulative with all Vendors’ expenditures being aggregated to determine satisfaction of the limit.
If you don’t agree to the above terms, you can contact us by mail or email within 30 days of order receipt/invoice to request a return. Original shipping and handling costs may be deducted from the refundable amount. This is to cover the S&H cost even though the original shipping may be offered free to the customer. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Late returns, returns which are in a un-resalable condition or are missing parts may be refused.
