If you'd like to use your smartphone as a controller instead of the Xbox controller, make sure the option is set to ON for your Spivi system. To do this, go to your My Studio page on spivi.com, select the Soft Controller option from the list of options, and on that page click the OFF switch to turn it on.
Working with the Soft Controller
A Button: Toggles the Leaderboard view during a workout.
B Button: Toggles the Cadence view (Metrix/Studio/365) or the Max HR view (Arena) during a workout.
X Button: Toggles the Power view (Metrix/Studio/365) or the LTHR view (Arena) during a workout.
Y Button: Toggles the Performance Dashboard view during a workout.
Spivi Button: Opens the additional options menu, where you can favorite specific challenges/views/visuals to be activated at a push of a button during a workout.
Black Button: Start button, which should be used to confirm steps on the menu screens.
Directional Pad: Used to highlight different options on the menu screens.
Left Arrow: Switches the view to the previous view during a workout.
Right Arrow: Switches the view to the next view during a workout.
Back Arrow: Back button, which should be used to exit menus, or end a workout.

Once activated, there are two methods to use the smartphone controller.
Option 1: Scan the QR code that is displayed on your Spivi system:
- A QR code will be displayed on your Spivi Launcher screen, as well as the main menu.
- Scan the QR code, and open the link to begin using the Soft Controller.
Option 2: Use the Spivi Mobile App:
- If your club owner/admin has set up your Spivi account as an instructor (using the Manage Club Members option on spivi.com), then you should have access to the Soft Controller directly from the Spivi Mobile app.
- Launch the Spivi Mobile app
- Navigate to the Settings > Instructor option
- Select the Soft Controller option
