WINDOWS Recovery Mode can occur when turning the Spivi system on after it lost power unexpectedly.
How do I recognize WINDOWS Recovery Mode?
- The Windows recovery wizard is displaying on the screen (A ‘Startup Repair’ window) indicating that “Your computer was unable to start” or “Windows cannot repair the computer automatically”.
- A message “Do you want to restore your computer using System Restore?” might also appear.
- The Xbox controller is not responding.
Follow these steps to restore the system to normal operation:
- Connect a keyboard and a mouse to the Spivi system.
- If the Spivi system is shut down, please turn it on.
- You’ll see the WINDOWS recovery wizard screen. If you don’t see anything, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the bottom side of the Spivi system.
- Press on the ‘Cancel‘ option whenever you can.
- If the system asks you to restart the computer, press “Yes”. If not, continue to press on the ‘Cancel’ option.
- Wait for the wizard to finish – it may take a few minutes.
- The system should restart itself and turn on in normal operation mode.
